Haha, I shave completely because Jake likes it that way – though honestly I have done that on and off for years and so it seems easy.
Compromises I have made with Jake – letting him keep a dog he found even though I hate her, learning how to shoot a gun even though I hate guns, moving to the city where he already had a job instead of doing a nationwide job search, driving 240 miles roundtrip every week for 9 months so that we could make our long-distance relationship work, EVERY NIGHT re: what to watch on tv because he has boy taste in television!
I’m sure there’s lots more – I was just thinking today that everyone assumes that while compromise is important in a relationship, you do one or two big compromises one time and then you’re done. In my experience it’s been a ton of tiny compromises on a daily basis.
