The Presidential race has exhilarated me over the last couple years. I live in Texas. Texas is a historical republican State. The last 2 years has made it a challenge to be a Obama supporter. I connect with Obama for several reasons. I see him as a product of a interracial relationship. I see him as having the best of both worlds. I see him being able to over come prejudice. I see him as fighting an uphill battle for people of all different ethnic backgrounds. I see him as a product of our environment, racial diversity
Just the idea of Obama being the leader of the free world has proven many people wrong. It represents the change that is happening in this country. I’ve always said IDW is about love. I know that Americans are looking to accept diverisity. I love diversity. I love seeing people of different races and backgrounds uniting for a common goal. I love diversity.
As I look at my sons, Alpha Boy and Dirt Bike Boy, I can tell them that they have the best of both worlds. They represent the next generation of Americans. There is a new generation of people that look beyond our differences and find ways to unite us all. I can point to someone else besides athletes, rappers, and musicians. Their dreams are what drives the future. I can only imagine the dreams they will have based off the 2 different worlds that their parents come from.
